The Good Growth Grant gives small business owners a boost to accelerate growth and build long-term success.
Putnam County CIC and WestBanco Bank are excited to offer this economic development incentive to help drive economic vitality across Putnam County and foster entrepreneurs, makers and doers pursuing growth of their small businesses.
About the Grant
We’re looking for passionate small business owners with a plan to innovate and grow. Whether you’re just getting started or you’ve been in business for years, if you have a clear plan and vision, we want to hear from you.
Grant Details
- $1,000 will be awarded to three for-private small businesses with brick and mortar locations which must be permanent locations in Putnam County, OH. and have a business operating in the space.
- In addition to funding, grantees will receive promotion, mentorship, and access to helpful business resources.
- This is a reimbursement grant. A business must make the improvements described in its application and submit documentation before grant funds will be disbursed.
Grant Uses
- Visibility – Improve signage and/or upgrades to the physical space
- Innovation – Support design and development of new products and services.
- Growth - Equipment or Technology advancements
- Sustainability – Invest in long term success of the business through website, marketing or e-commerce consulting
Who Can Apply
Small business owners with a brick and mortar building location in Putnam County and $300,000 or less annual income. Owners of multiple businesses may apply for one business annually.
Details
- Applications are available on the Putnam County Community Improvement Corporation website https://putnamcountyohio.com beginning January 1, 2026. Completed applications will be accepted until Feb. 27, 2026.
- All applications will be reviewed and scored by the Putnam County CIC.
- Grant awardees will be notified no later than March 31.
- At least one official cost estimate is required from a vendor to verify estimated costs of the improvements to be made with the grant funds.
- Grant may be reimbursed up to 12 months from award notification.
