Ottawa, Ohio – September, 2022 – Adam Unverferth, CPA, recently opened Unverferth CPA, LLC., located at 321 East Main Street, Ottawa.
The firm provides professional accounting services including individual and small business tax preparation, payroll services, financial statements, year-end reporting, compilation, reviews, and other financial services.
Unverferth, of Kalida, first worked in public accounting in the Lima area and spent the last six years with a Defiance firm. During that time, he occasionally served clients at an Ottawa satellite office, an experience which led to his desire to move his career back home to Putnam County. Unverferth said the times he worked in the Ottawa office meant less daily travel time, which created an opportunity to develop more client relationships closer to home
While he had the desire to launch his own firm for some time, that feeling grew in 2020 after he and his and wife, Jessica, purchased another small business franchise. “We had to make a lot of business decisions and that’s when I realized I like entrepreneurship and the management aspect of a business. When a client calls I really get to know them and I can spend as much time as I want helping them.”
Unverferth CPA is located inside the Knueve, Sahloff & Wildenhaus law building in downtown Ottawa, a benefit Unverferth said gives him access to professional support staff and opportunities to collaborate with local attorneys. Adam can be reached at [email protected]
