Make a Difference Day 2024 with KNAP Sack

PUTNAM COUNTY – We care! As part of the Putnam County CIC mission to strengthen communities, our staff spent its annual volunteer day helping KNAP Sack, Inc., a local non-profit organization focused on food security for Putnam County residents. Rachelle Conine, Marlene Lahey and Amy Sealts, along with 15 of our economic development partners from Regional Growth Partnership Northwest Ohio and JobsOhio, assisted KNAP Sack with its monthly food distribution at the county fairgrounds.

Volunteers sorted, counted and bagged food from West Ohio Food Bank, loaded family food bags into vehicles and met new people who were very thankful for some extra food during this season. It truly takes a village.

KNAP Sack is in its 10th year of providing weekend food backpacks and a once monthly food distribution day. They always say look for the helpers, and we found them. Thank you Becky and David Leader and Becky Dershem of KNAP Sack… you are the helpers in building up Putnam County. #makeadifferenceday
