As the lead business hub for Putnam County, OH, our team focuses on building relationships to understand the needs of businesses, people and communities in order to connect them with resources and support to prosper and grow. With over 100 years of combined business, finance, marketing and development experience, our staff manages a robust business retention, expansion, attraction and tenanting program for businesses of all sizes. In all it does, the CIC is focused on creating opportunities and building the local economy.
Our primary roles are communicating the value of communities in Putnam County, OH, stimulating capital investments with existing and new businesses, enhancing business profitability, advising and supporting growth strategies, matching businesses with real estate and buildings, and demonstrating quality job retention and growth.

Hello! I’m Amy Sealts. People and places in Putnam County are special to me. With the exception of college at The University of Toledo, this has always been home to me. I’ve been fortunate to spend the last 29 years of my career serving the people and businesses in Putnam County communities. In 2021, I became a Certified Economic Developer in the State of Ohio.
Marlene Lahey

Hello! I’m Marlene Lahey. I have been with the Putnam County CIC since 2007. My experience includes 16 years serving as the Putnam County Auditor and 19 years working in the auditor’s office prior to that.
Rachelle Conine
Operations/Fiscal Manager
Hello! I’m Rachelle Conine. I have been the operations and fiscal manager at the Putnam County CIC since 2018. Prior to this I worked for the Auditor of State’s office for 31 years.
Karl Schimmoeller
Director, The Workforce Partnership
Hello, I’m Karl Schimmoeller. Workforce development is one of my passions and priorities. After 33 years in manufacturing, 12 years serving my local board of education and Vantage Career Center board, I am now dedicating my time to workforce development in my home county. My office is located inside the Putnam County CIC suite.
